Sorry, I can’t seem to find the words again to say something about this photo. Or maybe there is really nothing that can be said about it. That’s how it is sometimes with simple scenes. No words can explain why you enjoy looking at it. You just enjoy looking at it.

It would have been prettier if sunflowers were planted instead, right?  But I don’t really know if sunflowers would thrive in this land, and this kind of reforestation is really what Palawan needs.  And they seem successful in their efforts.  They have preserved well a mangrove sanctuary in Sabang, Palawan, and I think they are doing well with this effort in Snake Island.

Some tourists crowding over the small boat of a fisherman, trying to coax him to sell his catch at a low price.  These fishermen won’t budge, though, as they usually already have a buyer for their catch even before they leave the shore.

Just tried capturing the beauty of the sea, sand and sky in Pandan Island. I think I wasn’t quite successful here. It would do though. I think.

Just some strange stone that I found along the pebbly seashore of the Pandan Island in Honda Bay, Palawan. They’re not altogether rare on this part of the Philippines, however, as I saw many more of its kind while we stroll along the island and the next island on our supposed Island Hopping Tour.

A starfish. It shouldn’t be surprising for me to find some on the beach, right?  This starfish, however, is the only one in sight. Its kind may be found in great quantity in another island which is unsurprisingly named Starfish Island.

If the boat in the previous photo is in a parking space, then this one may well be in the garage, lying quite far from the shorelines. Photo is still taken from Pandan Island in Honda Bay, Palawan.

Or docking–I think that’s the more proper name, although there is no dock anywhere. This is the photo of the boat we hired on our Honda Bay island hopping tour, finally arriving at the beach of Pandan Island. This part of the beach is actually filled with boats, with our boat stopping at the rightmost.

It is hard to chance by the migratory(?) birds pictured above. And it’s even a rarer chance to see them “kissing”, forming the heart-shaped space in between them that we often only see in pictures. Well, these two birds did. So I hurried setting up my camera and tried to focus and shoot as fast as I can. And the result is the photo above. Evidently late!

Well, maybe you can’t really have it all. I’m thankful that I was given a chance to see them create the heart-shaped figure I’ve only seen in photos before. I’m just sad that because of my sloppiness, I can’t share the experience with you in photo.

By the way, this was still shot in Palawan. The two birds seems to be resting near a tiny sand bar and they were the only two around by that time.
